We finished up Chapter 6 test. If anyone feels that they didn’t do as good on the two tests as they wanted, they can retake a harder and longer test in place. We finished up our chapter 7 notes and started chapter 7 packet.

Welcome back students! Our classes have changed up but everyone is at the same spot. We have taken some notes, did a land lottery simulation, and watched the IMAX video over the Louisiana Purchase called Lewis and Clark: A Journey West. I am attaching the notes over Chapter 6 we are in the process of taking.
Thanks!
Mr. C
We finished up Political Parties and hot topics. We will have our open note quiz over the Georgia on my mind on Wednesday and Thursday this week.
It has come to my attention that some of you are having a hard time with the file converter to office 2007 to view the notes and power points I post due to your type of computer systems. In future blog entries, I will post the information as a office 97 – 2003 document so that no one who has office should have any issues downloading the information. If you have Office 2007, I’m told it will upconvert those files so you also can view them without issue. I hope this addresses and helps those of you who are having any issues.
On a side note, the Executive Branch test will be on Friday and Monday and I am attaching the power point in the new format to this entry. Hope that helps everyone!
Mr. Curtner
We finished our notes over the Executive Branch (Governor and President) and I am posting them on the blog. Don’t forget, we will be having a short test over this on Thursday and Friday this week.
Mr. Curtner
On Wednesday and Thursday, the students are taking a Technology Literacy Assessment Pre-Test in the MAC labs. Due to this, we have to move the Juvenile Justice/Judicial test to Friday for “B” day and Monday for “A” day. Everything on the notes they took is available for questions and most of the test will be short answer and not multiple choice. They need to know the answers. After the test, we will finish up the Executive Branch notes which I will post on the next blog.
Looking ahead to the holiday break, there are several things coming up to be aware of. We will test next week over the Executive Branch and the last week over the Georgia on my mind questions we have done each week. This means that there are 2 more tests to be entered after this week and a couple of quizzes. If you have any questions, please let me know.
Mr. Curtner

We finished up our Juvenile Justice notes and the Judicial Branch. The students watched today a Georgia Story about Camp Stop, a boot camp in Milligeville. The test over that information will be the second class I see them after we return from Thanksgiving break. I will include the information they need below to compare to their notes. This test will not be an easy test as many of the questions will require them to write in their answers. See the previous entry for the link to the download to convert the file to office 2003.

Many of you are having issues viewing and printing out the information posted on the blogs. Try downloading this free file converter that will allow the 2007 files to be back converted to 2003.
