Welcome 6th Graders!
The McClure Orchestra family is whole, finally. We have all three grades started now, and I could not be happier. Welcome to those who came on Friday – we shall have a few more join us in the coming week, and I hope everyone will welcome them as they arrive.
Some things to remember:
6th Grade:
Please have your instrument and Essential Elements 2000 book 1 by Wednesday, August 30th so that we can begin instruction. No instrument and no book means no orchestra class. If you cannot make the August 30th deadline, please let me know as soon as possible and we will try to work something out.
7th and 8th Grade:
Please remember Chamber auditions are before and after school this Thursday. The excerpts have been handed out, and the scales needed for the playing test this past Friday will also need to be played. I will have a short sight-reading piece for you to play, as well. I expect each audition to take no longer than 3-5 minutes. Don’t fret, I’m not scary.
8th Grade:
Please bring EE 2000 book 3 to class Monday. Not having said book will result in a lowered daily grade from now on.
I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend, and I shall see you on Monday!
~Ms. Robertson
