Well we made it to Friday! :) This week seemed to go by very fast and in a blur. This weekend I’m going to be working hard to get the pinnacle updated. I will finish getting all of the test graded so you can look at those on Monday. I did get a chance to look at the pre-test you guys took over M7G2. You guys did a great job of keeping me laughing at your funny answers. Actually I learned a lot about your prior knowledge of Transformations. Thanks for the humor.

For this weekend: You need to finish up your Coordinate Translations activity. 3rd period: please do your homework. We don’t want a repeat of today. The rest of the classes did a great job.

See you Monday! Stay dry this weekend.

Good morning everyone. I forgot to post to the blog yesterday before I left, so I thought I would do it now – just for the record. To be honest, it didn’t seem as though we got a lot done yesterday. We did however, go over the two-step review homework from Tuesday (pg. 750) and we took a pre-test over our next unit M7G2. We also spent some time talking about what the Unit is going to be about (Transformations) and what students will need to be able to do by the end of it.

Our new Unit is all about the Transformations of 2D figures on a coordinate plane. We will talk about translations (slides), reflections (flips), rotations (turns) and dilations (changing the size, but not the shape).

So – No homework on Wednesday night! Thursday we will start right in on translations and you should have a little work to practice this skill at home.

Moving right along… We are officially finished with our direct and indirect unit now. Our second part of the Unit test was taken today and I’ll get part A & B averaged together and in pinnacle as soon as I can.

Your homework this evening is a review of solving equations: Textbook pg. 750 (1 – 18)

Tomorrow we will start our new Unit on Transformations. We will learn how to rotate, translate, reflect and dilate 2D figures on the coordinate plane. It shall be a lot of fun. See you then!!!!
