Ancient Civilization Chart/ Chap 6, Lesson 2

9 02 2009

Groups read and discussed Chap 6, Lesson 2 today. As students read, they added to the ancient civilization charts we made on Friday. Info was recorded for lands ruled, agriculture methods, intellectual advances, and reasons for decline. This is homework to finish. Only notes from Chap 6, Lesson 2 should be added at this time. We'll add more notes from our research as we progress through the week .

As we study these groups, we are focusing on how they served as models of how civilizations became more developed. Then, as we move to the decline of these civilizations, students will begin answering our new
EQ: How did European contact & colonization of Latin America impact change and development?

Students will continue with their ancient civ research in class on Tuesday and Wednesday, then they will present their findings on Thursday. Tomorrow they will receive a rubric of specification.

Friday will be the Chap 6 test.
