Students began brainstorming ideas about the themes of social studies as they worked in cooperative groups today. We will continue with these tomorrow. Chap 1: Less 1,2 covers this info.
While those whom had completed last night’s homework participated in a “Getting to Know You Game” activity, those whom had not completed it met with me to work on strategies to help them be successful in checking for what is homework, getting it back to school, and completing hmwk at an AC quality level. Students not completing their nametag last night, must get a parent signature in their agenda, complete the work, and turn it in to me in homeroom tomorrow.
I also showed students where the map games are on my BLOG. Tonight’s homework is to chose one of the games and play for 10-15 minutes. Parents need to initial in agendas in the SS section that students did this. Thanks!
(Come to my homeroom tomorrow to play the games if you do not have internet ability!!)

Yeh!! We survived Locker 101!
Much of today’s time was spent helping students be successful in getting into their lockers, organizing everything, and practicing on what to take out/leave in at each locker break.
We also went over class procedures on how homework is turned in, what to do if you did not complete your homework, how it will be graded, and how to use your agenda to help you be more organized and successful in each class.
I collected Motivational Info Forms, syllabus signature forms, and textbook forms. Most everyone had these filled out, signed, and ready to turn in. If any of yours were incomplete, be sure to turn them in during homeroom tomorrow.
We worked on getting to know each other better with our “Luggage Nametags”. Please complete those for home work tonight. We will share them tomorrow.
