Cornell Notes

We worked in class on Cornell Notes for Chap. 5, Sect. 3 today. I went through sections 1& 2 helping the students understand what types of words/phrases should be in the Cue column vs. what goes in the notes column. I feel that they understand it much better now. As we finish Chapter 5, I’ll have a better idea of which student to ask to come to Cornell Note study sessions. I hope to begin these by next week.

Homework tonight is to finish the Cornell Notes for Chapter 5, section 3. Tomorrow night’s homework will be to finish section 4. Don’t forget: red, blue, and bold go in the cue column. Also, take notes on extra info included on the inset sections of each page and areas such as Spotlight & Dateline and charts, graphs and maps.
