About

Mrs. Parsons has been trained to use her hand as a map of Michigan!

…just one of her many talents!

Born and raised in ‘The Mitten’ (have you ever noticed how Michigan looks just like a mitten?), Mrs. Parsons received her undergraduate degree in elementary/middle grades science and her graduate degree in middle grades science. After teaching middle school science for one year outside Detroit, she packed up her piano and moved to Atlanta where she began teaching sixth grade science in the Cobb County School District. Mrs. Parsons has a blast when she is with her students and loves teaching at McClure Middle School!

Even though she misses the Great Lakes, Mrs. Parsons fell in love with Georgia when she experienced mountains and snow-free winters! Mrs. Parsons lives with her husband, their rescue Collie (Juliette), and their 17 fish (Mr. Parsons’ pets).
