Weekend Homework – Preparing to Create a Character Resume

Today in class, we finished reading The Outsiders.  We also discussed the assignment that we will be completing on Monday– “Creating a Resume for an Outsiders Character”.  In order to prepare for this writing piece, you should do two things:

1) Select the character for whom you plan to create a resume.  I would highly recommend using one of the eight characters included on the character traits charts.

2) Use one of the following website to locate a job for which that character might apply:

Atlanta Journal-Constitution Jobs

Monster.com

CareerBuilder.com

Don’t forget… next Thursday is “Dress like a Soc or Greaser” day!

Period 7/8 Homework!

Students in period 7/8 need to finish reading chapter 6 in The Outsiders tonight!  PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE be sure to bring the novels from the class set back to school tomorrow, or we won’t have enough in class!

ALSO… period 7/8 may want to take this opportunity to catch up on their character traits chart, which is due Friday! (Hint, hint!)
