Today students worked on the benchmark test for the 3rd 9 weeks. After completing the benchmark, students worked on a webquest for reviewing solving systems by graphing and substitution. Here is the worksheet with the updated websites: March 16 2010 A

Today we worked on solving systems by elimination method. Homework is pizzazz riddle worksheets p.164 & p.165
Tomorrow we will be benchmark testing for the 3rd 9 weeks. After testing you will be reviewing solving systems by graphing and substitution.

Today we worked more on solving systems of equations by substitution method. Don’t forget this can be found in the red Alg 1 textbook online; chapter 6 section 2.
8th grade dance info:
If you would send the following information to the 8th grade parents, it would be greatly appreciated.
The evening 8th grade dance planning meeting will be held on Tuesday., March 16th at 6:30 p.m. in the McClure PDR.
We are well on our way to giving the kids a wonderful and memorable evening but still have many things to finalize. We will be sharing lots of information and asking for help in some areas too – so bring your calendars!

This week we worked on solving systems of equations by graphing and today we started solving systems of equations by substitution. If you need more practice or extra help, please go to the online textbook, select the red Algebra 1 book, then select chapter 6. We have covered section 1 and section 2. Don’t forget that they are tutorial videos on this website.

Mar 3rd – due to the delay of day we did not take our unit 6 test, but we did go over the study guide. Homework – worksheet from sequences
Mar 4th – Today you will take the unit 6 test and then do corrections to your unit 5 test (for those that made a grade lower than a 90). You may have time to work on your coach book assignment.
Homework: Study for the unit 5 retest
Mar 5th – today you will take the unit 5 retest (those that made below a 90). The rest of the day will be used to work on your coach book assignment.

Today we worked on adding algebra to our angle measures. This is not in our textbook and is very difficult to find resources online – please take good notes and study them. Practice what we did in class by trying them again and checking to see if you did it right. Homework: worksheet – Angle Pairs and Algebra

Today we learned more about angle pairs formed by parallel lines and a transversal. We made a foldable to use as a study guide. We also did a task involving angle pairs.
