- TFA Quiz on Chapters 1 – 3
- Read BBC article, “China’s Unwanted Girls”, August 23, 2001
- Completed JOURNAL: Is it wrong for China to kill infant girls if a couple/woman have already reached their family quota? Should another culture intervene in this situation? If yes, explain your answer fully. If no, explain why not. How does reading this article make me feel?

Tuesday, March 16th:
- Review VOCAB #9 – QUIZ ON FRIDAY, March 19th
- Finished viewing Roots.
- Read TFA Chapters 4 – 5 in small reading groups and completed reading guide for these chapters.
Wednesday, March 17th – HAPPY ST. PATRICK’S DAY!
- Reviewed viewing guide answers for Chapter 4 and 5 as a class.
- Broke into small reading groups – read Chapter 7 and completed reading guide for this chapter.
- Students made 3 questions on notecards that they would ask someone for modern-day Nigeria regarding culture, traditions, lifestyle, etc.
- HOMEWORK – Complete reading Chapter 7 and finish the reading guide for this chapter!
- QUIZ TOMORROW – TFA CHAPTERS 4,5, and 7
