Welcome Back – Spring Break is Over!

Water_lilies We will continue to work on the Human Rights research project.  Just a few reminders:

The paper should be typed, double spaced, size 12 font (Arial, Comic sans, and Times New Roman are acceptable).  Please no cursive fonts.

Students are required to submit 50 notecards with their paper.  Students are not required to turn in a draft, so the notecards are required.  Students have been writing facts/notes from the articles that they read.  Students were encouraged to select at least five articles to complete the paper.  This means that there will be at least five citations

All papers are due Friday, April 18.  Late papers will be accepted at a 10 point penalty per day.

We will test for Unit 12 Vocabulary Workshop – Tuesday (A Day classes) and Wednesday (B Day classes).

Thanks and have a wonderful week!

Spring is in the Air!

We will be spending time researching topics for the Human Rights Research project.   Thursday and Friday classes will begin drafting the paper using the note cards and other gathered information.

We will complete Unit 12 Vocabulary and review the Completing the Right Word sentences for the unit test.  The test is scheduled for Tuesday, April 15(A Day) or Wednesday, April 16 (B Day).  PowerPoint projects are due Monday, April 14.

The research project should be completed April 18th.  Please remember to use the Cobb Virtual Library for online sources.  Students should not use Google or Wikipedia for a scholarly project.

In addition, I want to remind students to remain focused as we are all excited about Spring Break.

Thanks
