Reminders

Parents and Students,

If your child will attend Kennesaw Mountain for high school, an invitation was sent home with your child last week.  Kennesaw Mountain will host a gathering for your family.  The invitiation requested an RSVP by April 20th.  It is not too late to attend.  Please download the invitation if you did not receive the original invitation.  This is a great opportunity to introduce your child to the program.

CRCT Testing

It's that time to show what you know.  Here are a few things that may help your child be successful  on the CRCT.
1. Get a good night's rest before testing.  Plan to get to bed early each night.
2. Provide a healthy breakfast.  Avoid sugary cereals and sweet treats such as PopTarts.
3. Arrive to school on time. Avoid the  late  rush, it is a challenge to get settled and focused for testing.
4. Provide your child at least 2 Number 2 pencils. Mechanical pencils are not allowed.   They also need two sheets of scratch paper, water and some snacks/mints.  They also need to bring a fiction book to read if they finish.
5. Please rememver to schedule appointments in the  afternoons so that students do not miss testing. Students who test in their own classrooms and at the normal testing time are more likely to perform up to their full capabilities. While we do provide make-ups sessions, they are sometimes in unfamiliar settings.
6. Affirm your child.  Tell your child  we have faith in them and that we know they will do their best; this will help to reduce testing anxiety.

Thanks for your support.
