Today’s Agenda
(1) DGP Quiz
(2) Writing Assignment
Students completed the writing piece about a time they felt embarrassed. Students were provided a checklist and instructed to create a key to support their accountability system.

For example, a student’s key might show the hook highlighted in blue, descriptive adjectives highlighted in green, compound sentences highlighted in orange.

Here is the student model that is a work-in-progress. Have you ever been humiliated beyond belief? Sadly, I have, and it will forever be held over my head by my sisters. When I was eight years old, I remember an Easter experience that didn’t turn out so well. Anyway, all stories must start somewhere.
It was a crisp, cool Easter morning. The sun was at its peak. The trees were blooming with small flowers and it smelled like Earth.
My mother had spent hours preparing my hair and my dress. My dress was soft and felt like silk. My dad kept trying to rush us into his silver Suburban.

Please refer to the Power Point for the full checklist.
