We did a differentiated notes lesson today in class with Chapter 16 Section 3 – Severe Weather. Students were asked to choose their preference in note taking style and worked with others with the same preference. They worked together to generate their notes for the section.

8th grade
We took a quiz over Electromagnetism today in class – see me for makeups! We also had fund playing with magnets and creating electromagnets!

We began Chapter 16 – Understanding Weather in class today. We worked on Section 1 – Water in Air. We used a new form called an SQ3R to take notes. Please see me for the form for any makeups. I am always here before school if you need any extra help!

we are working our way through chapter 14 – we covered sections 2 and 3 in class today and outlined our notes. Please see me for a copy of the notes if you were absent. We will be finishing up Chapter 14 in class tomorrow. There will not be a quiz/test for this chapter.

We wrapped up Chapter 13 today
HOMEWORK…Please be sure to complete one of the 2 options from class today. The options are listed below:
•2 OPTIONS…BOTH IN COLOR!!
•1. create a drawing of the ocean floor – be sure to label all the parts of your drawing.
•2. design a new underwater exploration vessel – label and describe how it works
These were worked on for the majority of class today! Please be sure to complete the task and return it to school tomorrow.

We continued to work through chapter 13 section 2 and answered the What You Will Learn for sections 1 and 2. They are the bullets just under the section headings…this was homework if it was not finished in class today…
8th grade
We wrapped up the Lab Station Rotation
Began chapter 17 on Electricity – we read section 1 and took notes from a powerpoint.

we began reading about the ocean today in section 1 of chapter 13
8th grade
we wrapped up the lab station rotation today in class
we began reading chapter 17 section 1 on electricity and took some notes from a powerpoint as well
QUIZ over Chapter 17 on Friday for A DAY and Monday for B DAY!!
