February 7th is Super Bowl Sunday. Your homework assignment is to write about.
1. The history of the super bowl.
2. The commercials during the super Bowl
3. The teams that are playing in the super Bowl.
Choose one of the above to write about. Minimum of 2 paragraphs.
This is Due on Tuesday February 9th.
Next Unit will be fitness testing.
You will be tested in 6 areas. Your Scores will be sent to the county and compared to all Cobb County Middle Schools.

Bowling, Cheerleading or NASCAR. Choose 1 and write a persuasive argument why you think your choice is either a sport or not a sport. This needs to be a minimum or 2 paragraphs. You can hand write it or you can type it.
You will be graded on Content(2 Paragraphs), spelling and thoughtfulness.
Due Tuesday January 19th. It may be turned in early.
Can you believe this 9 weeks is almost over?
We will be finishing fitness testing by Friday (11/4).
The last 2 weeks we will be working on a Basketball and Indoor Soccer unit.
If the weather get nicer we may take soccer outside.
Many of you are missing homework assignments. I will not accept any homework after Friday December 11th.
The Bicycle club and Golf club’s are in full swing and still accepting new members. We meet on Wednesdays. See me if you are interested.
You need to keep a Daily log of your
1. Sleeping pattern. How many hours do you sleep a day
2. How much physical activity do you get per day and describe it.
3. What do you eat every day. This includes all meals and all snacks. Include the beverages you eat.
Remember, this is a daily lod and is due for days Nov 14th -19th
Part 2 will be to keep the same for the wwek you have off for Thanksgiving and write a summary if you think your life style is healthier in school or out of school.
Who is your favorite athlete? Tell me in a minimum of 2 paragraphs why this person is your favorite. Are they a leader, a good role model, do they show good character trailts? are they your favorite for other reasons.Remember, a minimum of 2 paragraphs.
We started out softball unit. We started out with tossing & catching, then went into game play. Sunday/Monday weather keep us from playing out side, but we played fast tracks. Think about the similarities between the 2 games. If the field is still we on Tuesday, then we will play wiffleball indoors. Remember, if you want to bring your own glove from home, feel free to do so.
We will be starting our Softball Unit on Wednesday April 15th. It will last until Friday April 24th. Feel free to bring in your own bat and glove.

The only time a fumble can occur is on a kickoff.
If the ball is dropped(except a kickoff) the ball is dead.
On a kickoff you receive the ball from ths 1st down marker
1 rush allowed on the quaterback every 4 downs
No quaterback sneak allowed——Quaterback may run if rushed
Touchdown is worth 7 points
No running over or through a defender
No flag guarding
No stiff arms
The game always starts with a kick off
We are currently in the middles of our Football unit. We have played 1 round of elimination so far. Hopefully the weather will cooperate and warm up some so we can go outsite and play additional games.
