Hi!
Oh my, I hope everyone is ready for this evening. You will probably have many treaters who I hope do not do too many scary tricks. Don’t forget to turn your clocks back over the weekend. Otherwise you will be early to everything on Monday.
Please remember that students are off on Tuesday, November 4. It is a Student Holiday and Teacher Inservice Day.
CLASSWORK
Warm-up #30 – •Which country is south of Estonia, north of Croatia, east of Romania, and northwest of Slovakia? Answer: •Latvia is south of Estonia, Slovenia and Hungary are north of Croatia, Moldova is east of Romania and Czech Republic is northwest of Slovakia.
Friends and Family – On a separate sheet of paper list all your close friends and family. This will be used for an activity you will do.
Video Streaming – The Bubonic Plague or Black Death - All of my classes went to Ms. Crull’s room (Thanks for hosting us.) to view the video since the bulb on my LCD projector blew a few days ago.
Play - Only Period 1 had time to read "The Black Death 1347-1349" play. Hopefully other classes will be able to it next week.
Map Review – Did a game to match country to capital.
HOMEWORK
The map test will be in two parts. On Monday you will do Part A which will be matching the capital to the country name. Part B will be done on Wednesday and you willneed to know the location of each country of Eastern Europe. You may choose to do both parts on Monday if you are confident that you know all the information. However, you do not have the option of putting off Part A until Wednesday. All students will do the matching part on Monday.
Remember there will be an Open Notes Warm-up Quiz on Wednesday, November 5. You need to be certain you have warm-ups 12 through 30. You may copy them from the BLOG, get them from a friend, or use the Warm-up Notebook in my class. There is a no excuse policy for coming to class without your warm-ups.
Have a FUNTASTIC weekend. I will see you on Monday. Thomas’ Adventure Travels signing off. :~)
