Hi Everyone,

Another great day at McClure Middle School. Those of you who qualified for the 2nd nine weeks Renaissance need to be certain you have turned in your money and permission forms. Tomorrow is the deadline for getting that information turned in to your homeroom teacher.

Don’t forget that conference week is next week (Jan. 25-29) and you will be getting out at 2:15 PM each day.

CLASSWORK

Warm-up #7 – True or false: People of the First Nations include Canadians of British and French descent.  Answer: False. The people of the First Nations are descendents of travelers from Asia.

How well do you know the provinces/territories and their capitals? – Students worked as to team to correctly place labels on a map of the provinces and territories with their capitals. They were competing against other teams to see which team could get it correctly done in 2 minutes. This also help students to know if they need to study more this evening. There is a test tomorrow.

Miracle at Midnight – Finally, finished watching the movie based on a true story about the role Denmark played during WWII.

HOMEWORK

1. Study for map test tomorrow on the provinces and territories and their capitals.

2. Culture Box project due tomorrow. Presentations will begin after all students have finished the test. Be certain to have your rubric. You grade will be placed on this form.
