Hi!

Well, conference week has officially begun. I hope everyone has an appointment and will be able to meet with the conferencing teacher. I look forward to seeing all the parents.

The students are excited since they will be getting out early each day this week. Please make certain arrangements have been made for them coming home early.

Don’t forget the Book Fair is going on all week.

CLASSWORK

Today in class students received their map test back. It was very obvious that either a student studied for the test or they did not. This was a very easy map test with much less information to know than the Europe test. We even went over their study guides to be certain they had the information correct.

After giving back the map test, students then did their presentations of the culture box. These are going very well. However, I noticed that some students did not follow the rubric that was given with a check off area to be certain they were including all requirements. Students need to take advantage of this type of information whey provided.

The physical map test of Canada will not be tomorrow. I want to allow students additional time to be prepared to the test. It will be scheduled later in the week. A prestest will be given tomorrow to help student know if they are prepared for the actual test later.

HOMEWORK

1.  Continue to study for the physical map test of Canada. Use your study guide.

2.  Those who have not turned in a culture box project need to be certain to have it tomorrow. You are losing 10 points everyday it is late.

Have a wonderful evening, and I will see everyone tomorrow. Thomas’ Adventure Travels signing off.    }:~)
