Hi!

After listening to some students talk today, they seemed to have enjoyed the extra time in the morning before coming to school. Several told about spending time taking care of their pets, or having some special family time going to breakfast, and even some shopping. What a great way to take advantage of the late school starting time.

CLASSWORK

Since classes were shortened today, the main focus was to complete the Australia Physical and Political map test. Overall the grades look good.

A few classes were able to begin reading in the Coach book about Australia and Oceania. One class had the opportunity to answer many of the questions for this section of reading.

HOMEWORK

There is no homework in social studies this evening. Enjoy the time.

Have a fantastic evening. I hope to see everyone tomorrow. Thomas’ Adventure Travels signing off.  }:~)

Hi!

Today was a great day. Students went to the media center to do a “web Quest” on Australia and Oceania. Mrs. Harpin, the media specialists, developed the activity where students had to research certain information by looking at different linked websites. These sites were reviewed prior to the students using them. It was a great activity showing students how to use different resources available to them to get pertinent information. There were specific questions that needed to be answered. These were to be answered in completed sentences. No papers were collected early. If a students did not finish the activity, they are to complete it for homework. Remember to go to Cobb Virtual Library and type in the pass words you were given.

HOMEWORK

1.  Finish “Web Quest” if not completed in the media center today.

2. Open Notes Warm-up Quiz on Monday.  Be certain to bring all your warm-up to class.

3. Continue to review the political and physical map for the test on Wednesday.

Have a wonderful weekend. I will see you on Monday. Thomas’ Adventure Travels signing off.   }:~)
