We are working on our study of the Civil War by creating a newspaper of events that occurred during the Civil War. Each student has been assigned a side (North or South) from whose perspective they will be writing their articles to contribute to their newspaper group. This project should be finished up by the middle of next week. Here are the guidelines: The Civil War in the News
We are also working on our novel study. You should be reading your novel now at home so you can be prepared to complete the project in time. Here are the guidelines again: Historical Fiction Guidelines

We are hosting an exhibit from KSU about Bunce Island, a slave castle in Sierra Leone from the 1600s until the 1800s. Students were given the opportunity to see the exhibit and completed a scavenger hunt about the exhibit. I hope you all enjoyed it and learned a lot from what you saw.
