Afterward, we discussed our Georgia Standard and Essential Question for the writing segment of the Expository Unit. We then read about the writing strategy of “Showing, not Telling” and discussed different examples and strategies that would help us get the job done! [...]

Class work: We read The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens. Each student was given his or her progress report for the 1st 9 weeks to reflect on their progress so far through 7th grade.  The students spent the rest of the class period getting organized, and throwing out old graded work!
