Whomever did not turn in their Special Number Project can do so tomorrow with no point penalty.  This is being allowed due to our Olympic Field Day yesterday.  After tomorrow all project turned in late will have a point deduction.

Prime Factorization

Today in class we reviewed our divisibility rules, practiced factoring, and worked on prime factorization.  Tonight’s homework is a worksheet, Practice B on factorization and prime factorization.  Students are to do ONLY the PRIME numbers!

Prime Factorization

Today in class we finished the worksheet on prime numbers up to 100.  We introduced the concept of prime factorization were we can break any composite number down into to just it’s prime numbers.
Tonight’s homework is in the Thick workbook page 89 numbers 10 – 20.

Divisibility Rules / Factors

Today in class we spent time factoring using our divisibility rules.  Also started the Sieve of Eratosthenes which identifies all the prime numbers from 1 to 100.  We also used our divisibility rules to identify composite numbers.
