Finishing our lesson on religions….

Classwork:
Today we took a quiz on the three religions that we have been learning about. This quiz was an open notes quiz. Mrs. Mullen–you are so awesome! Tomorrow we will discuss the economy of the Middle East. What is their major natural resource? You guessed it…….petroleum!

Homework:
none

A note from Mrs. Mullen: Today I was proud. I was at lunch and there was a situation at my lunch table which caused some students to move to another section of the table. When I went over to ask what was going on, I decided to leave the situation alone. Lo and behold, in a few minutes, I saw these students move back to their original place. Way to go guys….. I was impressed!

Rested and ready to learn!

I hope that everyone is rested, relaxed and ready to learn. We have so many things to find out about the Middle East!

Classwork: Today, after review, we took the lesson 4 vocabulary quiz. Everyone kept their eyes on their own paper so Mrs. Mullen didn’t have to sequester anyone from class. Subsequently, we completed the map of the Middle East and defined vocabulary words. Mrs. Mullen doesn’t settle for mediocrity so she is sure everyone made an excellent grade! Tomorrow, we will learn about the three religions that originated from the Middle East. Do you know what religions we will be talking about?

If you were absent: Complete the map of the Middle East. You will find a copy of the map under number 21 in the blue crate. Define Key Vocabulary and Key People only on pp 369, 373, 377 and 382. There are 14 words in all. They are to be defined on pp 117-118 of your notebook.

Homework: Complete map of the Middle East and define vocabulary words. Both will be checked for two homework grades. The vocabulary assignment is above.
