Islamic republics in the Middle East

WELCOME MR. BREDESON!!! Mr. Bredeson will be assisting Mrs. Mullen in teaching classes 3/4, 5 and 6 through the month of April. Let’s make him feel welcome… If we are very good, he might show us pics of his pet pigs:)

Classwork:
We completed two column notes over lesson 3 today. These notes were describing the different governments in the Middle East. Many countries in the Middle East are Islamic Republics. They govern by sharia law. In Saudi Arabia, they actually have "religious police" to make sure that everyone is following the laws of Islam. This is very different than our government in the United States. Tomorrow we will continue our government lesson and learn about the Middle East conflict. Why can’t people learn to get along? We will discuss this question tomorrow.
