Today we took a look at the culture of the Middle East and compared/contrasted their culture to us in the states. It was cool to look at the different slides.
We have a lot going on this week so make sure that you pay attention to announcements!

Today we were busy with many different activities. We updated notebooks, watched a very short video on the Arab/Israeli conflict and completed a guided reading over lesson 4. Monday we will learn more about the culture of the people in the Middle East and how it compares with us.

Today we had fun while learning about the resources and religion of North Africa and the Middle East. We will finish discussing this lesson tomorrow. We will also talk about a very important current event tomorrow….the war in Iraq. See you then!

In our quest to learn about the Middle East Conflict, we started illustrating puzzle pieces that we will be presenting tomorrow. Hopefully, putting the pieces of the puzzle together will make the history of the Middle East come together. These two groups have been in conflict for a very long time!

After we discussed our lesson on the Iran-Iraq war, we watched a short video on the traditional foods of the Middle East. I thought it looked delicious but some of you didn’t agree. Monday we will be learning about the Middle East Conflict. See you then.

Today we took our vocabulary quiz over chapter 16. We also discussed how to distinguish between fact and opinion. We talked about why it is important to know the difference. We started our lesson on Muslim vs. Muslim and will finish tomorrow.
