Today we discussed current events and the importance of staying current with world events. I have also established a new grade category. I am combining current events with the homework grade. Every student will be responsible for five current event summaries along with their homework checks. Note to parents: Ask your child to see the purple handout for details about this change.
We then discussed two current events that took place over the holiday period. Bhutto’s assassination in Pakistan and the ethnic violence in Kenya. We also discussed how these events impact the U.S.
