Introducing Mr. Cloud!

Today we learned how our class mascot, Mr. Cloud, is going to help us with our writing! We also completed a worksheet using longitude and latitude and received a study guide for tomorrow’s map test.

Vocabulary Macaroni was fun and helpful!

We reviewed for our vocabulary quiz by playing vocabulary macaroni today. We also used desk olympics to configure our room. Can you believe that 7/8th period put the room back in order in  4 seconds? I have never seen a time that fast! Kudos to teamwork!

Today we learned how to rearrange our class into groups of four within seconds…..can you believe it? Desk Olympics is a fun way to start our group work! We also reviewed our map terms in preparation for our quiz on Thursday.

Welcome to 7B!

I hope that you have had a wonderful summer and are looking forward to learning about our world in social studies class this year! We have started the year getting to know each other and are reviewing map skills for the first couple of weeks. My blog will start with a short recap of class followed by the warm-up and agenda for the day. Announcements, reminders, homework and make-up work will be included. I am looking forward to a great year as we explore the Middle East, Africa and Southern and Eastern Asia. Let the journey begin…
