Tuesday - Turn in your Nervous System STAR Notes. How do you think the brain interprets inforamtion? How do words influence what we see?Today we will begin the Stroop Effect Lab.
Wednesday - We will finish the Stroop Effect Lab, please turn in and the Neurologists will WOW us with their knowledge of the Nervous System. Hopefully, we will begin our CARDIAC 100 races. I can’t wait to hear your creative broadcasts.
Thursday - We will continue with the CARDIAC 100 Races and follow up with the Case Study Presentations. If you choose to do the Doctor’s report. This needs to be turned into me by Friday!
Friday - Last day for Case Study Presentations. The Benchmark Test for the Human Body Unit will be on Monday, Feb. 22. Use the Table of Contents on the blog to organize your notebooks. These will be due on February 24th. The Residency Final EXAM will be on Wednesday, Feb. 24th. Study all items in your notebook…

Today we took the SYSTEMS test! WOW! What a great job! I had soooooo many 100’s, I still have a smile on my face. GREAT JOB…it’s easy when you know it!

Please finish up your Choice Board for the Respiratory/Circulatory System. Section 7/8 will have time to finish these in class on Wednesday, but due to the Stars & Strikes field trip I will not get to see the rest of you so be sure to turn it in to me the next time I see you.

Today you guys completed the rough draft of your Cardiac 100. You should have shared Step 1 and Step 2 with me and received my signature. Next, you began the final draft and the script for your broadcast.
Everyone was supose to share their case study research question responses with me today. If you have not completed this assignment, then you will need to show it to me the next time I see you. Case studies will be presented next week.
Homework: STUDY for the circulatory and respiratory system test on Thursday.

Today I introduced you guys to The Cardiac 100: The Race of Life! This is our culminating activity to the circulatory system and the respiratory system. You will be broadcasting the race between three red blood cells as they go from the vena cava all the way through to the aorta. Click here if you need a copy of the completion steps: The Cardiac 100.
Date Changes: The Circulatory/Respiratory Test has been moved to Thursday, February 11 and the neurologists will be presenting on Tuesday, February 16.

Today we rotated among several centers.
We have to blood type 4 patients, determine whether our patient is anemic, normal , or taking supplimentary drugs to enhance athletic abilities,
save 3 patients that have enetered the emergency room and work on our existing lung capacity and heart observation labs. We will continue working in these centers tomorrow.
All STARs notes are due Thursday.
Be prepared to turn them in tomorrow!
