What are we doing today and for the rest of the week ?

Our Class is reading Charles Dickens’  A Christmas Carol. The seventh grade literature book version has been dramatized by Fredrick Gaines.  The  dramatic skills of my students have really allowed them to make the play their own. Our daily activities are listed below:

Monday: Read the play and identify theme in drama

Tuesday: Read play and  compare and contrast holiday customs using venn diagram

Wednesday: Read play and define vocabulary using context clues

Thursday: Read play and identify and analyze sequence.

Friday: Finish reading play and explore  parallel versions of The Christmas Carol.

Homework Tonight

Essential Question: How will  using chronologial order  make my expository writing better?

Monday:  Complete the lesson on “Sequencing”. When you are finished, read it to someone to insure that the order of the story makes sense.  Get your listener’s signature when you are finished reading.

Life Maps: Work on adding events  to your maps.
