I apologize for not updating the blog for the past two days. As I’m sure you saw today, I definitely wasn’t feeling up to doing very much from Sunday through Tuesday. Sleeping and drinking plenty of fluids was about all I could do. I would have much rather been with you, although my dog, Ivan, did enjoy my staying home!
Today in class, we worked on the final copy of your province/territory book. Some things to remember:
- Your paragraphs should sound like an encyclopedia, not a personal letter. Don’t use personal pronouns until you get to Author’s Notes!
- This is fact, not opinion. The only time you should have an opinion is in the Author’s Notes.
- Be certain that ALL of the questions in each section of your research page are answered in your book.
- Be certain each page is written in blue or black pen and pages 1 to 6 have hand-drawn pictures. (You can type the words, but the pictures MUST be hand-drawn.)
- Check spelling, grammar, indentation, capitalization, and punctuation. This should be your BEST work and will count as a test grade!
For homework: Complete the final draft of pages 1 – 8 of your book.
Have a good evening!
