Scale drawings

We finished up our cartoon scale drawings. If you did not finish in class, you are to finish for HW and hand it in tomorrow. Block 4 students who did not hand in project, you need to bring it to me during homeroom because I will not see you tomorrow due to the reward movie. Finished benchmark testing

Today we finished benchmark testing!!1 Yeah!!! We have completed the curriculum and will be working a project for the remaining of the year. That is why you will need a comic for MONDAY!!! Please look in the Sunday paper for the colored comics and pick one that is school appropriate. There are some really good ones!!!!!

We are reviewing for our test on Wednesday. We continued solving equations while playing marbles. We might continue our game tomorrow.

Reviewing with solving equations

Today we reviewed solving mini-super problems. Tomorrow will be our super problems.

HW:

1) 3 + 2( k + 1) = 6 + 3k

2) v/0.3 = 4v + 6.28

3) -3(4x – 10) = 1/2 (-12x + 60)

4) 4/7y – 8 = 2/7y + 10

5) -6 + 4( 2m +4) = 3(2m +1) +5

Test on Wednesday of next week.

2) Worked on “super” problems. Please make sure you show all work!!!!

HW: 5 problems

1) -6 + 4(2m + 4) = 3(2m + 1) + 5

2) d/0.4 = 2d + 1.24

3) 2(f – 3) + 5 = 3(f – 1)

4) 9 [ n + 2(n - 2)] = 45

5) (g – 2)/5 = (g + 4)/7

Solving equations with variables on both sides

1) 2 problems                                   

2) Worked on problems that involved variables on both sides of the equation.

1) 5m – 4 = 3(m + 2)

3) 3a + 2a – 5 = 13 – 2( a + 2)

Solving two-step equations

2) Today we solved two-step equations. We are working up to multi step equations so make sure you solve the problems “like I do”!!!!

1) -34 = 2 – 6t

2) 2/3m + 7 = 29

3) 2c + 1 = -31

4) 2y – 8y + 29 = 5

5) 3/4 (8 + 4x) = -6
