3) Rational numbers. We fille in the visual organizer with all the numbers in the real number system: natural numbers, whole numbers, integers, rational and irrational numbers. Rational Numbers graphic organizer
Natural numbers- counting numbers {1, 2, 3, …}
Whole numbers- {0, 1, 2, 3, …} no fractions or decimals.
Integers- whole numbers and their oppp0sites
Rational numbers- any number you can put in fractional form. Repeating and terminating decimals are rational numbers.
Irrational numbers- Numbers that CANNOT be put in fractional form or in decimal form.
HW: Semantic Feature WS- I could not upload it so you will need to ask for one in class.
Special number project is due on Friday, October 2.

3) Unit 2 test corrections. All students wrote down the questions they missed on the unit 2 test. They were to correct them, so if parents had a question of what they did wrong students will have their work. All those who received a C, D, or F need to get the test corrections paper signed.
HW: Math crossword puzzle. I do not have an electronic copy so you will have to get one at school.

ALL BOOKS NEED TO BE COVERED!!! Tomorrow is a book check for book covers. Please make sure yours is covered!!!!!! (no sticky covers)

Unit 2 test will be changed to Thursday. But the study session will remain on Wednesday morning at 8:15.
Notebook check #2 will be on Friday. Please make sure all your papers are in the right sections and you have all your papers with you on Friday!

3) Least Common Multiple- Find the common factors first. Then multiple ALL numbers and variables. If you have more than two numbers then find the common factors of all three numbers then find the common factors of any two numbers.

1) Divisibility- Find the largest two-digit number that is divisible by 3 and differs by 2.

3) Greatest common factor with variables. Factor out all variables that are in COMMON with both numbers, then continue like normal with your numbers. Circle all common factors and multiply!!!

Unit 2 test is on Wednesday, Sept. 23. I will be having a review session on Wednesday morning at 8:15. Wait in the theater until I pick you up at 8:15. If you arrive after 8:15 please let the study hall monitor know that you are coming in for Mrs. Ryan’s study session.

3) Prime factorization- broke each number to all its prime factors. Remember to make sure all the factors are prime numbers. Put all answers in exponentional form.

1) Went over Unit 1 test. Since the test was made by Cobb County I cannot let the students take their test home. If any parent would like to view the test please email me and we can set up an appointment.
2) Sieve of Eratosthenes- We filtered through the numbers 1-150 to determine which were prime, composite or neither.
HW: Prime and composite SV
Quiz on Monday over factors, multiples, divisibility rules, prime and composite.
