If you have still not returned your syllabus, please do so as soon as possible!
7th: We finished our leopard drawings today and turned them in. I also demonstrated how to grid your photographs and paper, which we will do first thing tomorrow. We will also discuss requirements for the new project/unit on self-portraiture. I am looking forward to it!
8th: We had a discussion on aesthetics today, while looking at Power Points of graffiti images. You turned in your brainstorming and your one sentence definition of art. If anyone did not finish, then it is homework. Also, be thinking about what you want your school appropriate tag to be (either your name, something that communicates a quality of yours, or some kind of positive or neutral message).
6th: We finished our leopard drawings today and began our discussion on 1 point perspective and the element of space in artwork. Tomorrow we will continue learning about perspective and will draw out our landscapes in 1 pt. perspective.

Welcome everyone to art!
Please remember your homework for tonight, which is to read and have parents read the syllabus and fill out the bottom portion of the second page to return, to check the blog (you’re here!- see below for extra credit…), and to come prepared to class with 2 pencils with erasers, your agenda, and your behavior card.
Parents: Please look over the wish list that was sent home with students (and is also available as a page on my blog) too see if you have any materials that you could donate to the art room. As always, feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
Students are responsible for knowing all due dates, the class agenda, and copying the daily vocabulary word and definition. If absent, or if part of class was missed, you will need to click on the daily PowerPoint link to view all of these items. It will look like this: 3.15, and will typically be at the top of the post. It is saved in PDF version, so all should be able to open it on home computers, but if you have any problems please let me know. There will also be a printed version of the PowerPoint in the classroom in the orange make-up work binder.
Extra Credit: Since you did your homework and visited the blog, for 5 extra credit points, please write on the back of the portion of your syllabus that you’re returning (the part your parents filled out) this sentence :I Visited the Blog.
Hope everyone has a wonderful evening and I will see you tomorrow!!!
