6A Mathematics

Today the students worked really hard in Mathematics 6A.  First we practiced drawing 10X10 Grids and shading percentages and then we practiced converting percents to fractions and simplifying.

Then we challenged ourselves with our Multiplication Skills with a timed Skill Drill.  Last, we completed an assignment involving conversions of percents to decimals, and vice versa.

On Monday (December 7th) we will have an Opportunity!  Students should know what an Opportunity consists of.  Also, students will be able to use their Vocabulary notes on Monday on the Opportunity so be sure to bring your notes to class with you.

Have a Fantastic Friday and a Wonderful Weekend!

Today in Mathematics 6A we began with a given scenario for our teams.  Each team had to work together to come up with the answer for the question pertaining to the scenario.

We learned a lot about ‘trying’ and not giving up.

We then began our discussion on the relationship between Fractions, Decimals and Percents.  We then practiced converting from Percents to Decimals.

Students worked really hard today in class so they earned — NO 24 Hour Project for tonight..

We will continue our discussion and practice on Fractions, Decimals and Percents tomorrow.
