Ok…we’ve taken the quiz. We’ve completed the labs. You’ve had time to review in class. It’s time for the test!!!

A-day students will be taking the test on Friday and B-day students will be taking the test on Monday. Make sure to study. This chapter is mostly vocabulary!! Chapter 20 Study Guide

Chapter 20 Study Guide

Vocabulary:

  • Amplitude
  • Frequency
  • Wavelength
  • Wave speed
  • Electromagnetic wave
  • Longitudinal wave
  • Mechanical wave
  • Medium
  • Surface wave
  • Transverse wave
  • Wave

Study and be able to explain Figure 1 on pg. 574.

Study and be able to explain Figure 4 on pg. 576. Also look over your rev. question on Super Nova explosions.

Be able to draw a longitudinal and transverse wave.  Label the following: amplitude, compression, crest, rarefaction, trough, and wavelength.
