8th Grade Curriculum Update

January 13th, 2010 by P. Dean-McGruder, General (GEN)

The students of the 8th Grade Platoon are currently conducting their career and colleges explorations.  Students have completed an online assessment and they have identified 2 future careers.  Students have compared and contrasted their 2 future career choices.  In their research, students have identified the career description, duties, responsibilities, salary/wages, employment trends and college/university facts.  Most of the research is conducting online using www.careercruising.com.  We have discussed future career decisions as a whole class and students will work on completing their “Individual Career Plans” (ICP) and future career and college presentations.
