Test tomorrow – FRIDAY. Today we studied around the room and checked our answers. I was available for individual assistance. October 15 verbal expressions
Today we continued using verbal expressions and changing them into mathematical expressions. They each have a yellow graphic organizer with the words and their mathemetical translation. They were also encouraged to take their worktexts home to help with their homework. It has problems that we worked on in class as well as more word translations.

October 14 verbal expressions
Today we reviewed the verbal expressions and how they translate into math. Example: sum is for addition, less than is subtractions, etc.
Power point has the lesson for the day. They made a graphic organizer of the words.
HW: bottom of 1-3 worksheet, with verbal expressions to algebraic expressions.

October 13 algebraic expressions
I am trying something new. The attachment above is the smart board lesson we did today. I will try to post these as I do a smart board lesson.
Today we learned about algebraic expressions. We use variables to represent numbers. The problems we did in class had numbers replacing variables, and then solving the expressions.
