6th: ) What can cause oxidation? Oxidation occurs when oxygen combines with an element to form an oxide. We reviewed Section 1 and did some activities to go along with the concepts. We didn’t get a chance to start on Section 2, so we will work on that tomorrow.
7th: ) What is passive transport? Passive transport is the movement of substances across a cell membrane without the use of energy by the cell. We had our discussion about passive and active transport, reviewed from the last two days, then did some work on the section review for Chapter 4, Section 1. You will need to have the section completed by tomorrow for homework. You will have a quiz on what we’ve covered this week on Friday. Don’t forget to study your microscope diagrams, there will be a quiz on the diagram coming up next week.
