Make sure you do flashcards for 3 etape. You will have vocab quiz on premier and deuxieme etapes on Thursday.
For Monday in class you will present an activity.
Can you talk about your activity?
In a certain season, or on a certain day of the week, or the weekend, on vacation?
What you do to prepare for activity (like a buy cheese for a pizza), put on shorts for playing..etc.
How long do you do this activity for…pendant la journée (the whole day),
With whom do you do this activity, (avec mon chien, mon ami, toute seule(alone).)
Do you like this activity, C’est…. don’t like it.
You are free to change the above as long as you explain as simply and clearly as possible.
Write a list of words, no more than five, on board to help your friends understand.
For ex: Mettre = put on Je mets des baskets.
Sauter= jump. J’aime sauter …(playing basketball)
You look online for french dictionary. Don’t use a translator, they are not reliable.

Homework: devoirs: finish Grammar tutor packet to page and including page 18. If you were absent Friday, you can hand the grammar tutor in on Thursday.
We did puppet skits on Friday. If missed this, you will be given a written quiz on the activities, weather, days of week and seasons.
We will begin the troisieme etape on Tuesday.
Continue a etudier “vocab” page 135- toute la page…..merci.

Study from Fr to English, English to french all the deuxieme etape vocabulary. You should know this by FRIDAY. Practice online for Chapter 4. You should do this EVERY DAY…..it really helps.
On Friday, you will have quick oral quiz. I will point to your weather flap, a picture of the sun, You say, When it’s nice out, I do…..

Students took faire quiz again if they failed the first time. Went over in detail page 41, cahier.

Took a sheet of paper, landscape. folded in outer edges and made 6 pictures on front. BEHIND flap
Mention: Season, month, weather activity.
Ex: En hiver, en janvier, quand (when) il fait froid, je fais du ski.
In middle section: Write 6 sentences about what you do during a particular season. Go into more detail. You will mention what you do a lot, what you do sometimes, what you do not do. Then ask someone what they like to do, what you can do together. .
Write out the verb ,faire, conjugated: 3 x’s.
Pages 41 and 44 “cahier”- complete- I will collect and grade for accuracy. See 4.2 in book (pages116-119).
Quiz on Faire on Thursday: je fais, tu fais , il fait nous faisons, vous faites, ils font. Memorize
We will go to the lab on Thursday to practice.
DEVOIRS: TEXTBOOK page 130 ex 6,7,8 write out sentences : 10 points off if you do not do this.
Study all vocab, top, premiere etape and all grammar points for premiere etape. Quiz on thursday.

Participation grade is worth 15%. This next half of year, I will be keeping a checklist of student participation. If you stay on task, you usually receive a check. If you are doing other work other than French, if you are going to locker to find workbook or book, if you are not doing work or not participating, I will put a minus next to your name. Everyone so far is doing splendedly.
