Grimes' Parisian Adventure

 Friday, we went to the lab.  Quizlet.com is a site I use for vocabulary review ( a student showed me this this week) . Click on french, then put in Grimes 1.1.  All your words are there for this étape.  Press show symbols box and you will see how to type accents.  Also, we found bbc website for primary french.   I will put this all under links this weekend.

Homework:  Study for premiere etape quiz.  Look through all the pages again in the book for lst part of chapter 1.  Study and be able to spell all words on the top of page 45.  Also, memorize skit for Tuesday with your group.

In textbook – Read pages 14, 15.  Then read pages 18 and 19 and do exercises on next page 1-4.  Write out exercise 2 (1-8) and ex 4 (1-8)  questions and answers.  Make sure you bring your flashcards for premiere etape, page 45 on Friday.  We will begin using them.  You should be studying vocab everynight until you can write all words and say all words and numbers correctly. 

There will be a quiz next week on Premiere etape- everything in the book- notes from me, and, some map questions.

If you have not done pages 1/2 in workbook, please give to me on Friday.  This is the last time I will take any homework late.  Thanks for your cooperation.  Vous êtes intelligents.  Merci.

Bonjour mes amis:  We continue to work on saying hello, asking names, where you are from, age.

We completed the vocab sheet with names for animals,  worked on listening exercises and did a lot of partner work.

Notes on pronouns:  See back of book if you missed this. je,tu, il,elle,on,nous,vous,ils,elles;   Je suis…..adjective

cognates :  intelligent, brave, sympatique, fatigué, riche, timide  are some.  English and French alike.

We began work on skit which will be done on Friday, after finishing computer lab work.

Homework= les devoirs, continuez à étudier  le vocabulaire.

do pages 1 and 2 in your workbook for Monday.  Do what you can. 

Write any words you had wrong on quiz at least 10 times.

Study the vocab sheet I gave you or page 45, (in the textbook) —the top of the page.

Go over notes on accent marks and look at map of France.  C’est important de revoir tous les soirs.  Chantez les a,b,c.

We had a quiz on vocab (from hand-out).  Les devoirs= homework is on the back of the vocab page, it says “cahier” on the bottom of the page.   Please continue to study the vocab handout, or the premier etape words found in the textbook, page 45.  I will be working on this blog tomorrow, it is a little different from typepad. 

If you owe fines, please pay so I can give you a textbook.   In addition, I made a few copies of vocabulary page for those who were missing theirs.  

This week you should be able to

1.  Greet someone, say hello and ask how they are doing, ask their age, name and say goodby. 

2.  Say numbers 1-10

3.  Say alphabet.

4.  Familiarize yourself with the map of France.  What does A, J, V stand for….^^^^^^think mountains.

5.  Culture:  Caves of Lascaux, Victor Hugo, Senghor, menhirs and dolmens, Poitier, the city shown in Chapter 1 in book.
