Les devoirs: Do page 44 in book . We will do a short review before test. Remember to practice the essay at home, which will be on the test. The essay is: You’ve found an ad for a pen pal. Write a letter, in French, to introduce yourself. Say hello, give your name and age, mention two activities you like, one you really like and two you don’t like. Be sure to ask questins to find out your pen pal’s age and likes and dislikes. Remember to say goodbye. …study for two nights, practice spelling all vocabulary. Thanks, merci.
How do you express what you like and don’t like to do. J’aime danser, Je n’aime pas danser.
The first verb is “aimer” which is conjugated with the subject Je.
The second verb is “danser” which is not conjugated. The ne, pas goes around the first verb.
We did partner activities in troisième étape. You must study all vocab in this section for TEST on Friday.
We did some activities with the overhead transparencies and began writing a small book about what I like, what I dislike, what I prefer and what I detest. (3 sentences for each). Try to find some pictures to go along with your text, or else draw this yourself.
It is easier to associate gestures with verbs. We did this in class for verbs found in 3ieme etape.
Les devoirs: find pictures for little book. Do pages 6,7,8 in workbook. This is for Wed. Amusez-vous bien, a plus.
Devoirs: in the workbook (travaux) do pages 3 , 4, 5 : you may have done one of these pages already. I gave out a euro half-sheet page to keep track of homework assignments. (four total). Please put in your cahier, don’t misplace this.
We are still discussing regular er verbs and how you conjugate them. Once you understand this, you are able to say a lot in french since most verbs in french end in “er”. Our main theme is what things you like, then what activities you like. Continue to practice vocab on quizlet or with your flashcards. Continue to write out numbers 1-20 while you watch tv. Everything I have given to you so far will be on the test next Friday. Alphabet, numbers, Chapter 1, culture we have talked about. Spelling will count. We have been spending time on definite articles (page 28 in book); conjugating regular er verbs,(page 33 in book), and reviewing commands montrez moi= show me
premenez-vous= walk
arretez-vous= stop
We did page 5 in workbook, ex 12, 13 used a hands on approach for the above grammar points. You are learning how to say what you like and what you don’t like.

We presented our skits today. Reviewed flashcards and then took quiz on prem. étape. Class made flashcards for middle section, deuxième etape of page 45 in book. They must finish flashcards for homework. Also, since I am not able to have free paper, they will have to buy flashcards for the next section. They can cut them up in 4 pieces.
