DEVOIRS: homework; each student has index card. They must study for 10 minutes EACH NIGHT- saying, spelling, etc. each word of chapter 2.
A parent or adult must initial card. They need to do this every day till next Monday, at which time they will hand in card to me.
Also, for Thursday, please do workbook page 16. We will have a test next Monday. C’est super, non? Comment tu trouves cela?

CRCT Parent NightHow Can I Help My Child Exceed Standards on the CRCT?
We hope that you will join us on Tuesday night, October 27th at 7:00 PM in the McClure Theater for CRCT Parent Night. We want to focus on ways that we can work together to ensure that your child not only “meets” standards on the CRCT this spring, but that they exceed standards in all areas possible.
An overview session for all parents will be held in the theater from 7:00-7:20. Parents will then have the opportunity to attend three mini-sessions of their choice to enhance their child’s success on the CRCT. The schedule is listed below:

#2 flashcards for 2.2,2.3 (chapter 2, deuxieme, troisieme étape)
#3 travaux (workbook) pages 14,15 (we started in class). DUE THURSDAY
We reviewed time, and official time. Went over culture notes in Chapter 2, presented our projects in class. We are also singing songs to help you learn sounds in French. They may seem silly and old-fashioned, but they will help your pronunciation, I promise.
The test will be next Wednesday, the 28 Oct. Merci.

These people need to make up quiz, Ch 2, premiere etape: James F, Madison G collin, Myahh, Darius. You need to come in Tuesday AM or Thursday AM before school.
We reviewed for quiz, took notes on French School system, worked on project ” Mon avenir” (my future) career. This is due on Tuesday at the beginning of class. If you are not able to find pictures, please draw a few.
This small project is counted as a quiz grade.
Flashcards for 2nd and 3rd etape were made in class with Ms. Nord, the sub. Please bring them in on Tuesday morning. Study them over the weekend. Thank you, have a good day. Madame Grimes

Les devoirs: bring in a picture representing your ideal career (s) from a magazine, newspaper. You will finish the project
entitled ‘ Mon Avenir. You will be given a piece of construction paper.
Also, the vocab quiz for the 1 ieme etape, top of page in your book, page 73 will be on Friday. You should turn in the handout from monday that the sub gave to you to do in class.

I want you to think about what career you would like to pursue as a college student. Imagine yourself with your dream job. Start finding some magazine pictures to make a collage for next week. Also, I am making folders for you to begin your portfolio. I will also file any missed papers, handouts, etc. you may have left in room or need to have if you were absent.

We are in Chapter 2 in the book, deuxieme stage, etape. The students have a sheet entitled Devoirs à rendre.
The first homework assignment should be complete: workbook (travaux) pages 10,11,12,13.
Second assignment is writing 5 sentences on the back of this handout if they want using the verb avoir. ex: J’ai 12 ans. Tu as dance?
The third assignment is doing the handout sheet that says “cahier” on the bottom numbered 16,17 (one piece of paper).
The students should have notes (in book on page 54) on using Si vs Oui and be studying vocabulary on page 73 in book.
I will give them a rubric on a small project this Thursday. Since I see them every other day it is important for them to practice and write out vocabulary and new verb conjugations EVERY day.
