Today we watched a video on Etre, adjectives, pronouns,  everything you know, for the most part.

The class did diamante diagrams about themselves, using adjectives (masculine/fem) to describe themselves.

Les devoirs:  study 1 ere and deuxieme etape vocabulaire-  Finissez les travaux p 51-54.  Workbook through and including page 54.

Begin to put pictures on a powerpoint to describe your family.  OR/  BUY a poster board and collect pictures for presentation next Friday.   We will have a test sometime the second/third week of March.   Make sure you are studying verbs on your verb chart: Etre, faire, er verb, avoir.

Some words you should know since many were written on board are:

mettre=  put on;    je mets un t shirt.

pendant- for;   Je joue pendant une heure. 

quand=  when

l’équipe= team

répétition=  a  practice

We handed back tests for Ch 4.  Most students did very well, if you have below an 80, please come in Friday morning at 8:30 to go over test with me.

We began Ch 7, all about the family.  Students made verb charts for Etre, faire, avoir and an “er” verb of choice.  They will take a quiz with the verb chart on Friday.

Homework:  page 51 in workbook and page 218 Ex 1 in textbook.

Please write out sentences. 

BE READY to  explain without notes the activity you like to do for Friday

For Monday in class you will present an activity.

Can you talk about your activity?

In a certain season, or on a certain day of the week, or the weekend, on vacation?

What you do to prepare for activity (like a buy cheese for a  pizza), put on shorts for playing..etc.

How long do you do this activity for…pendant la journée (the whole day),

With whom do you do this activity, (avec mon chien, mon ami, toute seule(alone).)

Do you like this activity, C’est….   don’t like it.

 

You are free to change the above as long as you explain as simply and clearly as possible.

Write a list of words, no more than five, on board to help your friends understand.

For ex:   Mettre = put on    Je mets des baskets.

              Sauter= jump.   J’aime sauter …(playing basketball)

You look online for french dictionary.   Don’t use a translator, they are not reliable.

DUE  Monday.    Test WED.    Chapter 4  workbook pages for ch 4 due wed.   Merci.

Make sure you do flashcards for 3 etape.   You will have vocab quiz on premier and deuxieme etapes on Thursday.
