After your warm up, DG 17, we proceeded to go over Cornell notes (refresh the memory) and make sure you know how to do the notes in Social Studies. Some classes continued with landform charades. If you did not finish the notes for Section 2, Climate and Vegetation p. 14, you will have about 15 minutes tomorrow to finish. Remember the country/capital quiz is Friday. Keep reviewing with the website below. Keep checking stock information as well.
Behavior has been an issue that has been addressed. Points will be taken off for blurting out, off task, talking, gum/candy, and disrespect. These behaviors are unacceptable and are frequent, so please make sure you are taking care of your business.

After the warm ups, a mind up and a video clip, you worked on personification part two. When you have finished giving the 12 features human qualities, you get a partner and combine resources, then you create a charade to go along with your personifications. We will watch these tomorrow. Also, go to the website below and practice your countries and capitals of Latin America, this includes the Caribbean. Your quiz is on Friday and I told you this yesterday, so continue practicing every evening.

After your warm up, DG 16 (1-4), you took a pretest on Latin America. I wanted you to read each question very carefully, because you will see these questions again at the end of this unit on the post-test, and that will be for a grade. After the pretest, you had an incredibly difficult word search, for most. I wanted you to focus on technique and the how-to strategy we discussed in class. You also passed your Journal entries, except 3rd- due tomorrow.

After you created your warm up essay question from the video clip, you were to discuss it with a neighbor, to get some feedback. Then you were to copy and answer questions 1 and 2 on page 9 (Questions to Explore). We reviewed with sheppardsoftware.com and I played some of our favorite Latin America music, thanks Mrs. Harpin. After you had that complete, in the form of an exit ticket, you were to meet with your team to discuss your stock purchases. I checked vocabulary to make sure you finished 3A, 3B, and 3C. There was no homework.
It looks like we may use the computer lab in the morning to take care of stock business. I will let you know for sure by the end of the week.
Tomorrow is the Latin American pre-test, and you should bring a pencil, it will be on scan-tron. I wrote this on the board in blue under homework.

After your warm up, DH 3, we reviewed briefly and took the quiz on physical features of Latin America. I don’t think the quiz was difficult from your feedback, so I’ll try to get them graded and back to you as soon as I can. I am enjoying the Indiana Jones stories, so please be patient with me. I explained the ATLAS ACTIVITY to all classes and most of you started this activity, you will need to finish that tomorrow and hand it in by the end of class. I will be out tomorrow so please accomplish your tasks and have a super day.
