Introduce United States History

After your warm up, DH 6, you were to finish the questions about Canada’s history, then turn the questions in by the end of class. I explained how to create your timeline or organizer, focusing on the highlights of United States history from the textbook. I wanted you to interpret the importance of the date and decide whether or not to include it on your timeline. You will have some time tomorrow, since it’s due at the end of class, but you will also have some other assignments to work on as well. Below is a link that has many dates, remember, you are only supposed to go to the Cold War. The purpose is to get a foundation to build upon when it comes to United States history.

Everything we do has some kind of relevance to material on the test coming in a couple of weeks, the CRCT.

Everything we do in class from this week forward will be CRCT related in some type of review. The questions are below and I also mentioned NAFTA in periods 3 and 4. You were to read the article on NAFTA and get a perspective on the countries primarily affected. Tomorrow, we’ll talk about the men in Canada’s history.

I showed each class the brochure rubric and said that the brochures will be turned in tomorrow, along with tomorrow’s assignment. We will complete the rainforest topic tomorrow. The next topic of coverage will be culture of Latin America. The link to rainforest facts should be below.
