Plague day…

Today students were to copy the DG 4 warm up questions, (quiz on Monday), then turn in the journal entry about the activity stations, then students were involved in a plague play, which was great, and then to top it off, a short 7 minute video clip about the bubonic plague. I asked students to figure out what a third of each class was, example, 3rd period had 24 students present, so a third, they told was 8 students, correct! Now those 8 students were students who contracted the plague based on approximate historical calculations. I also asked students to think about the plague relates to the five themes of geography, which led to a discussion. Below you will find a quick link to a map we used in some classes today, that shows of when and where the plague spred. Great day students!!!
