Mr. Hausdorf
Today students copied the rest of DG 20 (quiz tomorrow) dg-20a, then reviewed by trying to fill in the blanks of a neighbor’s story, followed by discussion and feedback. After that, “Mind Your Business” materials were stapled in a certain order and collected. The Economic Term Quiz was next (on notebook paper), students were to match the terms with the definitions.
When the quiz was turned in, students were to complete the Australia Map, both sides, using an atlas.
Tomorrow, we will watch a video on Australia.

Today students started DG 20 (1-4), and then we had a few speeches given (all were given in 1st, and I collected your feedback sheets), after that students were to create a fictional story leaving 26 blanks incorporated in the story, for your economic terms to be used correctly (in context). In other words, you show mastery by using a blank story to fill in with the correct economic terms. You are responisible for 26 blanks. All written materials will be handed in tomorrow.
My example on the board was “The ________________realized their products were _________too high and if they didn’t offer ___________________ they might lose a lot of business.”
Australian maps were handed out today as well (Map TEST on Tuesday)
HOMEWORK- Finish story, review economic terms

Today students listened to other students give speeches and decide whether or not to do business with them, using a three column chart to do this, first column-name, second column- yes/no, and third column-why. This is going to be a classwork grade, up to 5 points. DG 20 we’ll start tomorrow. After some awesome speeches, students were to discuss in groups of three, the 5 most difficult economic terms for a sixth grader to understand, then we went around and discussed the terms that each group identified.
Remember, all written work is due tomorrow, we will finish speeches, review, and take the quiz tomorrow.
