Today students handed in the 2 graphs from Friday’s lesson, then focused on vocabulary of the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe.
Students were to make a t chart with 2 columns, one for the key terms and the other for the definitions, the key terms are on the following pages: p. 342, p. 353, p. 360, and p. 367. There are 23 terms total, students are to find the defintions for each, then we are going to use these for tomorrow’s vocabulary activity.

Sizzling Canine?
Today students handed in the journal entry from yesterday after the test. Tests were handed back to students in all classes except 1st period, finish that tomorrow, and then we got started with our lesson. Today was to serve as an introduction to the Soviet Union. We look at the vocabulary words from section 3 of chapter 12, and used them in a synonym activity.
Students had to create a t-chart, then create 10 synonyms for each vocabulary word and other important words in this section, except Joseph Stalin, then write the word itself. This was due at the end of class, counting as a classwork grade.
