If you have not turned in your reflection journal, Push/Pull sheets, and Immigration Law note sheet, your grade has plummeted.  I’ve updated grades to reflect all assignments that were turned in by Friday, January 25th.  If you are one of the few who have not submitted these assignments, please do so on Monday.

Have a great weekend!

Oh, and if you can spot the unit 8 vocabulary word in this post, tell me on Monday! Make sure you are studying those words this weekend; your quiz is on Tuesday (A) or Wednesday (B)!

Immigration pre-quiz

IMPACT

Today we took a pre-quiz on immigration.  I was pleasantly surprised by how much you knew about immigration.  If you were unable to finish the reflection in class, here are the reflection questions.  You should write one paragraph answering the first two questions and one paragraph answering the last two questions.

1.  What groups and individuals are treated like outsiders in America?

2.  What are the possible results or consequences when people feel like outsiders in their surroundings?

3.  What did you learn from this experience and the poem that might help you to better understand the feelings of outsiders in the future?

4.  How might you act differently toward people when you recognize that they might be feeling like ousiders?

Have a great night!
