7th Grade Social Studies
At the beginning of the hour, I collected workbook page 59 and your timeline.  We completed a map of Africa so that we could study for a short quiz on the countries of North Africa on Monday.  If you did not complete your map in class today, please complete it for homework.

Homework:  Complete political map of Africa, and study the countries of North Africa.

8th Grade Reading
The text structure test has been postponed until next Thursday.  I wanted to be certain that we have a solid understanding of the information.  After independent reading, we read "The Laundry Room" to discuss mood and tone. We underlined descriptive adjectives, adverbs, and verbs.  On the back, we drew a picture of what the room looks like based on the details of the passage.  If you did not complete this assignment in class today, please complete it for homework.

Have a restful weekend!
